Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Break Tourism Entry Indicators from the United States

NEW YORK - Sep. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism today unveiled new records for tourist arrivals to Israel from the United States in July and august.  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSvNv7Qfm7eu1nMArSzmfQQ/videos The country welcomed 78,000 Americans during July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in August 2022.

He stated, "It's so exciting to witness a further rise in tourism to Israel from America, already in the process of surpassing or exceeding the record-breaking numbers we saw in 2019". "The United States is the most popular destination for Israel inbound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 Pandemichit, we had record-breaking numbers of tourism entry each month. It's a fantastic positive trend that we're pleased to witness and expect an upward trend for many months to follow."

Canada is also on track, as the United States, to surpass its tourist arrivals into Israel. In July 2022, Canada received 7,200 visitors and August was a record the number increase to 6,000.

"It is so exciting to see how the Canadian tourism to Israel is rebounding," said Gal Hana, Consul and Director for Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We aren't far off our record for 2019 and we expect that the growth in travels to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians feel more confident about traveling across the globe."


Israel received more than 4.6 million international tourists in the year 2019 including 969.600 coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all travelers, regardless whether they have been vaccination-free. The country has already hosted more than 600,000.
