NEW YORK - September 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- New record breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a four percentage increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% higher than in the year 2019.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was thrilling to witness the growth in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019, he added. "The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Prior to the COVID-19 epidemic that was in the news, we had record-breaking tourist entry numbers every month. We are delighted to witness this change and expect an upward trend that will continue for months or even years.
Not far behind the United States, Canada is in the process of surpassing its tourist arrivals in Israel by 7,200 tourists in the month of July 2022 and 6000 in August.
"It is thrilling to see how tourism from Canada to Israel is booming," said Gal Hana Director and Consul for Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are near our record 2019 numbers. We believe that this increase will continue as Canadians travel more abroad.
